Although a huge time commitment, this group has been amazing with both the sense of community, and also learning more about photography, which has been an interest of mine for just the last few years. Although most of you know Blue already, I will give proper introductions to the new members, but save a few more details about how Blue came into my life for next week. Blue is five years old, and my second Flatcoat. He came to me when I was still heartbroken over losing my first to cancer. He is entirely different from Jack, which I think is exactly how it was meant to be, so that there were to be no comparisons between the two. Regarding the photography goals for this year...I'm hoping for a new lens this year, I need to learn more about my camera in general.... and I have lightroom and really need to learn how to use it. I'm obsessed with action shots, which is exactly why I used this as my first submission. You won't see much of Blue sitting still. To see more typical shots of Blue, you can see the rest of this photo shoot here . I was waiting until Saturday to take photos, and the morning was gorgeous and sunny. I decided to wait til late afternoon to take him out....then around 1pm I notice clouds rolling in....aiiiiighhh!!!! By the time I started shooting, the blue strip of sky behind him was all that was left. Then, I notice that with my gloves on, I must have accidentally changed the shooting mode. At least it had switched to "running man" (what I call action mode) and not "nightime". It could have been worse I suppose. |
